The inverter is what turns the DC power into AC power, checking the inverter coolant is to make sure there are no leaks and that it is working properly. The brakes are checked for brake binding which is when the brake pads and brakes stick. This is because of the regenerative braking which some hybrid cars feature. Regenerative braking takes the kinetic energy lost in braking and then stores it in the vehicles battery. The charging port will be checked for any damage, this is to ensure that the charging port is safe and that the vehicle can charge properly.
