What is a MHEV and PHEV?

A MHEV doesn’t require charging with a small electric motor helping to improve the efficiency of the diesel and petrol engines. Energy is regained from deceleration and regenerative braking.

A PHEV does require charging with an electric motor being combined with the engine. There is the ability to switch to pure electric producing zero emissions and while going on longer journeys using a mix of the engine and electric to reduce emissions and maximise efficiency. You can charge your PHEV at home, work or anywhere you can access a charger.

Charging

The UK’s charging infrastructure is continuing to grow making it easier for you to travel and charge your Land Rover all over the country. These charging points are in convenient locations such as motorway stops, public car parks, places of work and shopping centers. If required you Land Rover will come with a charging cable in case one isn’t supplied when you reach your charing point.

You can monitor the charging status of your Land Rover from the InControl App so you can easily check the current battery percentage and make your plans for when the battery will be at 100%. You can use the app to lock the charing feature when at home so it will only charge during off peak electricity time reducing your charging cost.
